چکیده
In pasture-based dairy systems, feeding a complex concentrate mix in the parlor during milking that contains cereal grains and protein supplements has been shown to have milk production advantages over straight grain. This experiment had aim of testing whether further could be elicited by adjusting composition an attempt match expected nutrient intake from pasture late spring. The used 96 lactating cows, grazing perennial ryegrass offered at target allowance 30 kg dry matter/cow per day (to ground level) spring (mid October November) southeastern Australia. Cows were allocated into 3 replicates 4 treatment groups, with 24 cows each treatment. Each group was 1 dietary treatments milking: control consisting crushed wheat barley grains; formulated grain (FGM) wheat, barley, corn canola meal; designer (DGM1) same ingredients as FGM but using CPM Dairy nutrition model take account pasture; 2 (DGM2) DGM1 meal replaced urea fat supplement (Megalac, Volac Wilmar, Gresik, Indonesia). Concentrate mixes 8.0 day, except for DGM2 which 7.5 day. ran total 28 d; after 14-d adaptation period, intake, production, body weight measured measurement period. Milk yield (kg) fed diet greater than not different cows. However, yields all other diets. There no difference estimated daily or matter intakes between despite consuming less (average 6.5 when day). research demonstrated potential formulate achieve similar yields, also highlighted need near real-time analyses grazed so capture benefits terms yield.

Sward Factors Influence on Pasture Dry Matter Intake of Grazing Dairy Cows: A Review
Successful pasture-based milk production systems pivot on balancing dairy cows’ feed requirements with seasonal and annual fluctuations in pasture production. In order to maximise cow production from grazing dairy systems, it is necessary to reach an efficient utilization of grazed grass for feeding cows and the development of appropriate grazing management systems designed to maximize daily pa...
متن کاملAchieving High Dry-matter Intake from Pasture with Grazing Dairy Cows
Due to economic, environmental and animal-welfare constraints, it is envisaged that in the future a larger proportion of the milk produced in temperate regions will be produced from grazed pasture. However, with the selection of modern higher-production dairy cows, increased emphasis on product quality and issues associated with nitrogen leaching, soil compaction, greenhouse-gas emissions and a...
متن کاملPasture intake and milk production of dairy cows rotationally grazing on multi-species swards.
Increasing plant species diversity has been proposed as a means for enhancing annual pasture productivity and decreasing seasonal variability of pasture production facing more frequent drought scenarios due to climate change. Few studies have examined how botanical complexity of sown swards affects cow performance. A 2-year experiment was conducted to determine how sward botanical complexity, f...

متن کاملMeta-analysis of the effect of pregrazing pasture mass on pasture intake, milk production, and grazing behavior of dairy cows strip-grazing temperate grasslands.
Grazing management is a key factor in pasture-based dairy systems, which can be improved given advanced knowledge of the effects of pregrazing pasture mass (PM) on the performance of dairy cows. The aim of this study was to quantify the effects of PM on the pasture intake, milk production, milk composition, and grazing behavior of strip- or rotational-grazing dairy cows, based on a meta-analysi...
